Thank you, Mr. President, 

My delegation welcomes Kazakhstan's participation in the Universal Periodic Review and appreciates its efforts and achievements in promoting and protecting human rights.

We commend Kazakhstan's efforts in enhancing economic development, particularly in promoting sustainable growth and employment opportunities.

In the spirit of constructive engagement, Iran would like to make following recommendations to Kazakhstan:

1. Continue efforts to promote children's rights, especially in the areas of education and health care;
2. Ensure that all citizens benefit from economic progress and family support initiatives;
3. Continue implementation of the Act of Combating Trafficking in Persons and the Migration Policy Framework for longer period;
4. Continue to bring national legislation in line with its obligations under the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities; 
5. Continue efforts to provide legal protection against abuse of women, children and the elderly in families.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s wishes Kazakhstan a success review.
