The South_Centre Council of Representatives elected Ambassador Ali Bahreini, as the Vice-Convenor of the Centre for 3 years

On 27 April 2023 the South_Centre Council of Representatives elected Ambassador Ali Bahreini, Permanent Representative the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva as the Vice-Convenor of the Centre at its 23rd session in Geneva. South_Centre has been instrumental in supporting the Global South to contribute in the multilateral diplomacy. As a founding member, Iran attaches great importance to the South_Centre. From its inception, as an intergovernmental policy research think-tank devoted to the cause of development it has demonstrated to be a reliable source of insight and expertise for developing countries.
