Saadi (1210-1291): Human beings are members of a whole, In creation of one essence and soul

Today, April 21 is Saadi Day in commemoration of Saadi Shirazi, as a great Persian Poet (1210-1291.) and prose writer of the medieval period, Saadi is recognized for the quality of his writings and for the depth of his social and moral thoughts.

This artwork titled "Human Dignity" by artist Mahmoud Zendehroudi has graced the walls of the Since 2014. The artist's inspiration: one of the lines of the famous poem by Saadi,“Human beings ”, rendered here in three languages: Persian, English and French.

In creation of one essence and soul

If one member is afflicted with pain

 Other members uneasy will remain

If you have no sympathy for human pain

The name of human you cannot retain."
