Thank you, ambassador Vapa,

It is my great pleasure and honour to join you to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the eminent Intellectual Poet of the East, Magtymguly Fraghi. As we gather here, Turkmenistan and the world celebrate the enduring legacy of a man whose words continue to resonate across cultures and generations particularly in in Iran and the Central Asia.

Magtymguly was born in Iran and grew up in Turkmenistan. He ultimately passed away and was buried in Iran. Therefore, this notable figure is highly respected by all nations in the Eastern world, specifically Iranians and Turkmens.

Magtymguly Fraghi was not merely a poet; he was a beacon of wisdom whose verses transcended borders, languages, and time itself. His poetry served as a bridge, connecting hearts and minds, fostering understanding and unity among diverse peoples of the region.

In acknowledging the significance of Magtymguly's creative heritage, UNESCO, on May 24, 2023, inscribed his legacy in the prestigious Memory of the World Register. This recognition is a testament to the universal appeal and enduring relevance of Magtymguly's message of peace, love, and humanism.

As we gather here today, we pay tribute to Magtymguly's remarkable contributions to literature and philosophy. His profound insights into the human condition, his advocacy for justice and equality, and his unwavering commitment to the ideals of tolerance and compassion continue to inspire us all.

Moreover, Magtymguly Fraghi played a pivotal role in fostering cultural exchanges between Iran and Turkmenistan. His poetry transcended linguistic and cultural boundaries, resonating deeply with the people of both nations. Through his verses, he forged a cultural bridge that continues to strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual respect between our two countries.

In conclusion, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan, particularly my esteemed brother Ambassador Vapa, for organizing this cultural event, which stands as a testament to the enduring significance of Magtymguly's legacy. Together, let us honour his memory and work towards a future of peace, harmony, and cultural exchange.
