Agenda item POL4: Enhanced programme of development cooperation for the occupied Arab territories
بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم
Mr. Chair,
Iran align itself to the statements delivered on behalf of ASPAG and OIC.
We thank the office for preparing the report under this standing agenda item that reflects the ongoing catastrophic situation resulted from occupation.
Mr chair,
The continuous and indiscriminate bombardment of Palestine by Occupying Regime of Israel that is a clear manifestation of Genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes, has not only deteriorated the situation of defenseless and innocent workers and employers in Gaza, but also increased the danger of Palestinian Cleansing overthere. The relentless blind attacks on civilians, hospitals, water infrustructures, and basic living requirments by occupying forces, has forcrd Palestinians to either died or evacuate. The relief aid channels and support provision to people including employers and workers has been blocked and vulnerable people mainly children, women and disabled are badly affected.
In such situation we are listening some languages blaming Palestinian freedom fighter groups for current incidents, while ignoring more than 70 yerars of resilience by Palestinian people. We are shocked by such implicit endorsements that clearly ingonre the main cause of the crisis that is occupation and invasion. In this regard we rpeat the UN Secretary General words sayingm attack by palestinan did not happen in vacuum, Palestinian people have been subjected to decades of suffocating occupation.
The language used by defence minister of Israel in 9th October calling Palestinian people Human Animals doesn’t have any conformity with justice and decent behaviour that we seek here in UN.
Mr. chair,
The provision of technical assistance, training and advice to workers in Gaza necessitate to first, save these people from being killed. We must immediately condemn the crimes against humanity in Gaza and call for an end to the brutalities. There is no hope for the workers who have lost their family and beloved children, and lost their jobs and homes. If the situation continues like this with our silence, no worker, factory, farm or employer will left. This is a human tragedy that within 20 days, more than 9000 people arfe killed and more than 18000 injured mainly by white Phosphorus bombs. Each of us, on behalf of humanity and on behalf of awakened consciences, must work for preventing the brutalities by occupying forces and then, enforcing assistances.
Dealing with such catastrophic situation in Palestine and mainly in Gaza, we call for international cooperation to stop brutalities and violation by occupying forces, urgent and immediate deployment of humanitarian aids to Palestinian people, and further assistance from ILO to workers and employers in Palestine.
I thank you chir.
