Statement  By  Mr. Yaser Salarian Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran  Before 49th Session of the UPR Working Group Review of Guinea-Bissau  Geneva, 2 May 2025   **** بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم   Thank you Mr. President, Iran welcomes the delegation of Guinea-Bissau commend their continued participation in the UPR process. The Islamic Republic of Iran appreciates Guinea-Bissau’s efforts to advance and protect the human rights of its people, in particular the rights to education and health, as well as its work against human trafficking. We acknowledge these efforts and offer the following recommendations: 1- Take urgent action to combat trafficking in children. 2- Improve labour inspection capacity to identify and refer cases of exploitation. 3- Expand safe and regular migration opportunities, and strengthen the protection of migrants in countries of destination. We wish Guinea-Bissau a successful UPR process. Thank you Mr. President. ---
