Statement  By  Mr. Yaser Salarian Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran  Before  49th Session of the UPR Working Group Review of Kenya  Geneva, 1 May 2025 **** بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم   Thank you Mr. President,  Iran welcomes Kenya’s delegation and commend their continued participation in the UPR process. The report demonstrates Kenya’s commitment to advancing human rights. We acknowledge the progress made and encourage Kenya to sustain this momentum. In a spirit of constructive engagement, we offer the following recommendations: 1- Enhance protection of persons with disabilities, especially women and girls; through improved access to essential services and opportunities. 2- Strengthen legal and policy measures to protect children, particularly victims of violence. 3- Incorporate the right to development into national laws and policies.
