Today in Iran, all celebrates Charshanbeh Suri the first festivity of the Nowruz Celebrations festival
----
Charshanbeh Suri, in Persian چهارشنبهسوری, is an Iranian ancient festival of which Iranians celebrate the last Wednesday of the year mainly by making firebones, jumping over them and singing. It is the first festivity of the Nowruz Celebrations festival; the Persian name of the festival consists of čahāršanbe (چهارشنبه), the name of Wednesday in the Iranian calendars, and suri (سوری), which means "festive" and stems from the reddish theme of fire and which the fire plays a fundamental role in this national event.
