Statement by Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran Consideration of the UPR report of Bolivia 43rd Session of Human Rights Council Geneva, 12 March 2020 بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم   Mme. President, My delegation welcomes the esteemed delegation of Bolivia to this meeting of the Human Rights Council and thanks them for presenting an updated report. We regard the policies and measures of the Government of Bolivia to combat racism and discrimination through training and awareness-raising as well as the efforts to reduce maternal and infant mortality positive steps towards promoting human rights in the country. My delegation is pleased that Bolivia has accepted all recommendations put forward by Iran. The recommendations were related to developmental activities, which affect positively the exercise of economic, social and cultural rights. There is no doubt that in this line, enhancing access of more people, in particular children, to education facilities and health care system will be crucial. My delegation requests the Council to adopt Bolivia’s UPR outcome and wishes the Government success in implementing the accepted recommendations.   I thank you.
